Hyderabad at a Glance: City Intelligence Snapshot

Hyderabad is three markets sharing one road network, which is what a mobile medium is for:

SignalWhat it means for van advertising
Population (state the unit)~6.8M city proper, ~7.7M agglomeration at Census 2011: India's 4th largest city proper, 6th largest agglomeration. Later figures are projections
Capital statusCapital of Telangana; the common-capital arrangement with Andhra Pradesh expired on 2 June 2024
Anchor industriesIT and global capability centres in the west; pharma and life sciences, India's "Bulk Drug Capital" and a vaccine manufacturing centre
Business districtsHITEC City, Madhapur, Gachibowli, Nanakramguda, Financial District, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Begumpet, Secunderabad
Retail coreOld City around Charminar and Laad Bazaar: the pearl and bangle trade, and the densest street retail
Civic boundaryCorporation limits span three districts (Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri), so "Hyderabad district" data does not describe the corridor
Vehicle seriesCurrent prefix TG (earlier TS, earlier AP), Hyderabad codes in the TG-07 to TG-10 range. AP, TS and TG plates all run lawfully

police commissionerates in the metro
NodeWhy it matters for routing
Outer Ring RoadAn eight-lane ring of roughly 158 km makes repositioning fast: one van can work the Old City in the morning and the west by evening
Metro corridorsMiyapur to LB Nagar, JBS Parade Ground to MGBS, Nagole to Raidurg. Station and train media is concessionaire-controlled and corridor-limited
The Old City gapThe extension towards Falaknuma was long stalled, so the Old City is least served by rail and most dependent on road traffic
Bus and MMTSMGBS and JBS interchanges plus a large bus network. Bus media is fixed-route; a van is route-chosen and time-chosen
Airport corridorRajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad (2008) sits south on a dedicated expressway; the approach is a public arterial

Jurisdiction note: policing splits across the Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda commissionerates, and civic permission sits with three corporations. We map each route to the right authority.

The legal position, stated honestly: Telangana has no dedicated mobile-advertising regulation. Vehicle-mounted advertising is neither expressly permitted nor prohibited, and an absence of regulation is not a permission. Campaigns run under the local municipal permission regime and ordinary motor-vehicle law, and we obtain written local-body clearance before every campaign rather than treating silence as consent. Hyderabad runs under the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, 1955; the rest of Telangana under the Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019.
Where we cannot run: Charminar, Golconda Fort and the Qutb Shahi Tombs are ASI centrally protected monuments, and the AMASR regime creates a prohibited zone extending 100 m from the protected limits plus a further 200 m regulated zone. Inside those buffers we run transit only, never dwell: no parked display, no stationary LED, no installation. We place no advertising at, facing or within the precinct of any place of worship, applied at route-planning stage. We do not operate on Ganesh immersion day, and never on a route without written clearance.

The Ramzan and Eid window moves each year and is a strong night-route season.

Mobile Van Branding in Hyderabad: FAQs

What does mobile van branding cost in Hyderabad?

Wrapped vans start at ₹2,200 per van per day, with print, mounting and fabrication one-time. LED builds are a higher tier; permission fees are billed at actuals.

Is mobile van advertising legal in Telangana?

Telangana has no dedicated regulation on vehicle-mounted advertising: neither expressly permitted nor prohibited, and absence of regulation is not permission. We work under the local permission regime and motor-vehicle law, with written clearance first.

Which authority grants permission in Hyderabad?

The Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, 1955, applied since 11 February 2026 by three corporations: GHMC, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation.

Can a van run at Charminar and in the Old City?

On lawful transit routes yes; as a parked display no. Charminar, Golconda and the Qutb Shahi Tombs are ASI protected, with a 100 m prohibited and 200 m regulated zone. We also keep clear of every place of worship.

Which languages should the artwork use?

Telugu is the official language and Urdu the additional official language, with Hindi and English widely used. We suggest Telugu with Urdu on Old City routes, Telugu with English on the corridor.

How many impressions does a van generate in Hyderabad?

Industry estimates suggest roughly 30,000 to 70,000 per day. No audited count exists for any Hyderabad route, so we report routed coverage with daily proof instead.

Static wrap or LED van?

In dense moving traffic we default to static panels, which are simpler to clear and safer. LED builds are kept for permitted stationary activations.

When should we avoid scheduling in Hyderabad?

Avoid heavy commitment from July to October in the monsoon and its October tail, and lake-adjacent routes in the rains. Ganesh immersion day is a blackout; mid-January is weak because the city travels for Sankranti.

What plates and materials do you use?

The current prefix is TG, with Hyderabad codes in the TG-07 to TG-10 range; AP, TS and TG plates all run lawfully. Panels stay within registered dimensions, on 100-micron or heavier PVC or cloth.

Can one campaign cover Hyderabad and other Telangana cities?

Yes. We pair Hyderabad with Warangal, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Sangareddy or Siddipet under one plan. Those cities fall under the Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019, so permissions are separate.
