Mobile Van Branding in Agra

Also called prachar vahan (प्रचार वाहन), canter advertising, LED video van and mobile hoarding in Agra (आगरा), the Taj City of the Braj region

Mobile van branding in Agra puts your creative on a moving vehicle, locally called a prachar vahan or canter, working the public arterials that ring the city: the Agra Cantt approach, Fatehabad Road, the Yamuna Expressway approach and the NH-19 and NH-44 corridors. It suits a city where fixed structures near the heritage core face a dense stack of clearances. We run T-shape, L-shape and LED video vans, arrange local permissions and send GPS-tagged daily proof. Indicative rates start at ₹2,200 per van/day plus 18% GST.

Where we cannot run, and what we will not print:
  • No placement in, at or facing the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort or Fatehpur Sikri precincts, at any price. All three are centrally protected monuments: under the AMASR Act, 1958 the area within 100 metres is prohibited and within 200 metres regulated. The National Monuments Authority cites guidance up to 300 metres for some categories, practice rather than statute. We stay outside these zones.
  • No monument imagery in creative. The tourism season can shape a hospitality calendar without the Taj, the Fort or Sikri appearing on the vehicle.
  • Taj Trapezium Zone rules apply to the vehicle itself. Agra sits inside the 10,400 sq km TTZ, notified 30 December 1996 and supervised by the Supreme Court through M.C. Mehta v. Union of India, with a statutory pollution control authority since 1998. Its controls are real: coke and coal fired industry is banned in the zone and tree felling restricted, with fines up to ₹25,000 per tree reported in 2025. We deploy only vehicles meeting the emission and vehicle norms applicable in the zone on your dates, and claim no unregulated outdoor space inside it.
  • No placement at or facing the Jama Masjid or any other place of worship, absolute, and no religiously, communally, politically or caste-framed creative.
  • No clean, pure or eco creative around the leather trade or the Yamuna. Agra is documented as the river's second largest polluter after Delhi, with leather cuttings named among the waste. On air quality both facts stand: a WHO study on 2010 to 2016 data ranked Agra 8th most polluted in India, and Agra placed 3rd best National Clean Air City in its category in Swachh Vayu Survekshan 2024.
  • Permission is discretionary, never automatic. No dedicated UP rule on vehicle-mounted advertising was verified; campaigns run under the Nagar Nigam permission regime and ordinary motor vehicle law, with written clearance first. Near the monuments a further precinct clearance applies, one more reason we route well away.

Peak: the October to March cool season. Low: April to June, when the hot dry Loo blows with great force and a record 48.6°C was logged on 28 May 2024, so van hours shift to mornings and evenings. Monsoon runs early July to mid-September. December and January stay strong, but dense fog delays movement, so we build in schedule slack.

Mobile Van Branding in Agra: FAQs

What does mobile van branding cost in Agra?

Standard wrapped vans start at ₹2,200 per van per day, with print, mounting and fabrication one-time and 18% GST on top. LED and video vans are a higher tier by build. All figures indicative.

Is mobile van advertising legal in Agra?

Agra is a Nagar Nigam, so the UP Municipal Corporation Act, 1959 regime governs advertisement permissions. No dedicated rule on vehicle-mounted advertising was verified, so we never call it simply permitted: campaigns run under that regime and ordinary motor vehicle law, with written clearance first.

Why is a moving van better than a fixed hoarding in Agra?

Fixed structures face restrictions a van does not. Under the AMASR Act, 1958 the area within 100 metres of the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort or Fatehpur Sikri is prohibited and within 200 metres regulated for construction, and Agra sits inside the Taj Trapezium Zone. A van needs no foundation, so it works the public approach roads instead.

Where will you never place an advertising van in Agra?

In, at or facing the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort or Fatehpur Sikri precincts, inside any AMASR 100 metre prohibited zone, or at or facing the Jama Masjid or any other place of worship. We also decline monument imagery and any communally, politically or caste-framed artwork.

Do Taj Trapezium Zone rules affect the vehicle you use?

Yes. The TTZ covers 10,400 sq km with genuine emission and pollution controls under a statutory authority and continuing Supreme Court supervision. We deploy only vehicles meeting the norms applicable in the zone on your dates.

Is this the same as a prachar vahan or canter?

Yes. Prachar vahan (प्रचार वाहन), canter advertising, publicity van, LED video van and mobile hoarding all describe one medium: an advertisement on a moving vehicle.

How many impressions does a van generate in Agra?

Industry estimates put a wrapped van at roughly 30,000 to 70,000 impressions per day on high-traffic roads. We report actual routed reach, not a fixed promise.

When is the best time to run a campaign in Agra?

October to March, when the cool season draws the bulk of visitors. April to June is weakest for daytime dwell because of the hot dry Loo wind, with a record 48.6°C on 28 May 2024. Monsoon runs early July to mid-September.

Does Agra's winter fog disrupt a campaign?

It can. Dense fog cuts visibility and delays road and rail movement, so we build slack into December and January routes and favour proximate, well-lit placements.

Can one campaign cover Agra and nearby cities?

Yes. We run combined Braj belt and western Uttar Pradesh routes, pairing Agra with Mathura, Firozabad, Aligarh, Etawah, Bharatpur or Gwalior under one plan.
